Here we go...

I've been reading blog posts for a while now... it all started with The Pioneer Woman about 4 years ago.  So a couple of weeks ago, I thought it would be fun to start a blog of my own.  And now I'm finally brave enough to write the first post.  I'm not exactly sure what this will turn in to, or how often I will post.  My goal with this blog is to share what I know and love about food and crafting and gardening... all from my little piece of heaven in the suburbs. I'm planning to post at least once a week - whether it's a new recipe, or a link to a website, or just some musings about what's on my mind.  I'm hoping that as I get into this I will be posting more pictures, and sharing more information. All I ask is that you be patient with me as I figure this out.

With that I will leave you with a photo of my farm girl beginnings...

  1. Laura, This is so fitting for you!!! You have so much information to share with us and we are so proud of your courage and ambition! Can't wait to see all of your little secrets and potions that I've heard about.... When you're ready for more readers, let us know. Love, Mom and Dad Ayers

  2. What a nice surprise! Am I allowed to put this on Facebook or do you want this to be just family for now?? Love ya, Mom

  3. I was just introduced to your blog by your mother-in-law. I would love to talk to you about essential oils and your experiences with them. please send the name of your headache potion!

  4. The headache potion is Tate's Miracle Conditioner - it's sold as a hair conditioner, but can be used for anything from make-up remover to migraine relief. And the best part is that you can pronounce all of the ingredients! The link where you can find more is:
I am planning on doing a post to tell more about it soon.
